Okazaki-jinja 岡崎神社

Okazaki Shrine, originally named Higashi-Tenno, is a Shinto shrine in eastern Kyoto. Emperor Kanmu built it in 794 to protect the capital. The shrine is now known for its numerous rabbit statues, which symbolize fertility and safe childbirth.
