Kitano Tenmangu 北野天満宮

Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto is one of many shrines dedicated to Sugawara Michizane, a scholar and politician. After his death, these shrines were built to appease his spirit. The shrine is a popular spot for students to pray for academic success, especially during exam periods.
