Hirano Shrine 平野神社

Hirano Shrine was established in 794 A.D. by Emperor Kanmu, who moved it from the Tamura, Nara Imperial Palace. The shrine was rebuilt in 1628 by Nishinotoin Tokiyoshi after being damaged during the Heian period. In 1871, Emperor Meiji designated it as a Kanpei Taisha, a high-ranking shrine supported by the Imperial family.
