Toji-in 等持院

Toji-in Temple is a Zen temple in Northwest Kyoto that was established in 1341 by Shogun Ashikaga Takauji. The temple features a garden with two ponds, one shaped like the kanji for heart or mind and another like a lotus flower. A teahouse, dating back to 1457, overlooks the heart-shaped pond.
