Ryogen-in is a sub-temple of Daitoku-ji in Kyoto, founded in 1502 by Tokei Soboku. It is the oldest of Daitoku-ji's sub-temples and is known for its moss-covered grounds, earning it the nickname 'the Moss Temple of the northern part of Kyoto City'. The temple features several important cultural properties, including its Omote-mon gate, Kara-mon gate, and Hojo hall, all built in 1502.
