Ryoan-ji 龍安寺

Ryoanji Temple in Kyoto was originally an aristocrat's villa during the Heian Period. It was converted into a Zen temple in 1450. The temple is known for its rock garden, which has 15 rocks arranged on moss patches within a rectangular pebble plot.
