Nison-in Temple is a Buddhist temple of the Tendai sect, located on the eastern side of Mount Ogura in Kyoto. Chief Tendai Abbot Ennin founded the temple between 834 and 848, and it served as Emperor Saga's official temple. The main gate of the temple was originally constructed in 1613 at Fushimi Castle before being moved to its current location.
