Nishi Honganji Temple 西本願寺

Nishi Hongan-ji Temple is located in central Kyoto, a short walk from JR Kyoto station. Its construction was finished in 1591, commissioned by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The temple showcases Azuchi-Momoyama architecture and belongs to the Jodo Shin sect of Japanese Buddhism.
