Kurama-dera is a temple in northern Kyoto with a history dating back to 770. The temple's main hall provides views of the surrounding mountains. A path connects the temple to Kibune village and Kifune Shrine.

Getting there — Take the Eizan Railway Kurama Line from Demachiyanagi to the last stop, Kurama Station; the ride takes about 30 minutes and it is about a 5-minute walk from the station to the temple.
