Motsuji Temple 毛越寺

Motsuji Temple, a Tendai school Buddhist temple, is located in Hiraizumi in Iwate Prefecture. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2011. The temple is notable for its garden, which is considered one of the most significant Japanese gardens from the Heian period.
