Kiso-Fukushima (Fukushima-juku) 木曽福島(福島宿)

Fukushima-juku was a significant political and economic hub in the Kiso Valley during the Edo period. It served as one of the Nakasendo post towns and also one of four security checkpoints that monitored traffic. The town features Edo-style buildings, particularly along the Kiso River, and a restored checkpoint that now functions as a museum.
