Maruyama Park 円山公園

Maruyama Park is a public park located in Kyoto's Higashiyama District, adjacent to Yasaka Shrine. In early April, the park is a popular destination for viewing cherry blossoms, especially its central weeping cherry tree, which is illuminated at night. The park can be reached by bus from Kyoto Station or by walking from Kiyomizudera.

What is there
Getting there — From Higashiyama Subway Station, head south on Jingu-michi; passing the south side of Chion-in Temple brings you to Maruyama Park. Yasaka-jinja Shrine is west of the park.
