Kotoku-in is a Buddhist temple in Kamakura, Japan. The temple is known for its large outdoor bronze statue of Amitābha, which dates to around 1252. This statue, called The Great Buddha of Kamakura, stands 13.35 meters tall and weighs about 93 tonnes.
