Ote-mon Gate 大手門

Ōte-mon Gate was constructed in 1606 and served as the main entrance to Edo-jo castle. It is situated between Otemachi 1-chome and Marunouchi 1-chome, providing access to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace. The bridge leading to the gate was originally made of wood but was rebuilt with earthworks during the Taisho era.
