Matsushima Shrine 松島神社

Matsushima Shrine is a popular place of worship for Daikokusama, one of Nihonbashi's Seven Lucky Gods. The shrine's exact establishment date is unknown due to records being destroyed, but it is estimated to predate the Genko era, around 1321. The shrine's name, meaning "pine island," comes from the area's past as an island with many pine trees.
