Dejima 出島

Dejima is a historical site in Nagasaki City that served as Japan's only point of contact with Europe during a period of national isolation. The Dejima Protestant Seminary, built in 1877, is a restored two-story wooden building and was Japan's first Protestant seminary. The site features exhibitions detailing Dejima's history as a center for trade and cultural exchange.
