Zaimokuza Beach is located in Kamakura, Japan, and forms the eastern part of a larger beach. During the Kamakura period, it was a busy port for the lumber trade, supplying materials for the construction of local temples and shrines. The name "Zaimokuza" reflects this history, as "zaimoku" means lumber and "za" refers to a guild of timber merchants and craftsmen.
