Sendai Toshogu Shrine 仙台東照宮

Sendai Tōshōgū is a shrine in Sendai, Japan, dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu. Date Tadamune, the second daimyō of Sendai Domain, began its construction in 1649, and it was finished in 1654. Five of the shrine's buildings, all from 1654, are designated Important Cultural Properties.
