Yomitan Village (Yomitan-son) 読谷村

Yomitan is a traditional village located in the central part of Okinawa Island, surrounded by green mountains and the East China Sea. It was the most populated village in Japan in 2014. The village played a significant role in the Ryukyu Kingdom's prosperity, serving as a gateway for foreign cultures and a departure point for trading ships.
