The Yoshino Ropeway is an aerial tramway located on Mount Yoshino in Nara, Japan. It began operations on March 12, 1929, making it the oldest aerial lift line still in use in the country. The ropeway was recognized as a Mechanical Engineering Heritage in 2012. It typically runs every 15 minutes, with a total ride time of three minutes, but it does not operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.
