Hannya-ji is a Buddhist temple in Nara, Japan, belonging to the Shingon Ritsu sect. The temple is also known as the "Cosmos temple" because of the many cosmos flowers that bloom there in late summer and early autumn. It is located at the top of a slope called Narazaka.
