Shikemichi Historic District 四間道

Shike-michi is a historic street in Nagoya, Japan. It was established for merchants when Nagoya Castle was built in 1610. After a fire in 1700, the street was widened to about 7 meters, and warehouses with plaster walls were constructed for fire protection.
