Asuke Historic Townscape 足助の町並み

The Asuke Townscape is an Important Preservation District of Historic Buildings. Its fundamental layout was established during the Sengoku era, with its modern form developing in the early Edo period. The town features machiya townhouses, built after a large fire in 1775, which are coated in plaster to prevent fires.
