Maruoka Castle 丸岡城

Maruoka Castle is one of Japan's twelve remaining castles with an intact keep. The keep, a three-story wooden structure, was built in the early 1600s. The castle is also known as "mist castle" due to a legend about fog concealing it from enemies.
